Clock Tower in Veles

The Clock Tower in Veles was built in the first half of XVI century. Located in the center of the city it served as an observation post for the Ottoman government.

Later at the end of XVII century, the tower was transformed into a city clock, used as a time reminder for the citizens of Veles.

The Clock Tower is a typical symbol of Veles which is included in the flag and the coat-of-arms of Veles.
